Lahore: (Staff Reporter) The Nanbai Association of Lahore has indicated up to Rs.3 increase in the prices of naan and roti. Aftab Gul, President of the association, said the price of wheat in the market was increasing day by day. The price of 15kg wheat bag had been increased to Rs.1,775 from Rs.1,400. Similarly, a fine flour bag rate had gone up to Rs.9,500 from Rs.8,500.
According to the source, Mr. Gul said gas was also not available and the wood and LPG were expensive. The association, he said, had called a meeting on Dec 15 to announce increase in the prices of both commodities. He said the present price of roti is Rs.14 and naan Rs.22.
