NAB summons 21 PTI leaders

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has swung into action and summoned a number of PTI leaders in connection with return of funds from Britain.

The NAB has issued notices to 21 PTI leaders for appearing before it on different dates.

Furthermore Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Murad Saeed were summoned on October 11, Shafqat Mahmood and Shireen Mazari on October 14, Ali Zaidi, Ali Amin Gandapur and Farogh Naseem on October 16 and Fawad Chaudhry and Sheikh Rashid on October 24.

Khusro Bakhtiar and Muhammad mian Soomro have also been summoned by the NAB. In the light of the statements of these PTI leaders, the NAB will then summon former prime minister Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad local administration has arranged around 300 containers to be used as roadblocks to stop expected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march on the federal capital.
Former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan had asked his party leaders and workers to be ready saying he can give the call for the long march on Islamabad.

To tackle the expected marchers, the local administration has decided to block Faizabad Interchange and all other entrances into the city by placing containers.

According to source, For security measures, the federal government has called in additional 30,000 strong contingent of police, rangers, and FC.

In the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharrif, the coalition parties decided that strict action will be taken against PTI’s long march and no one will be allowed to siege the capital city.

The coalition parties of the government have said that those aiming to divert the institutions from the constitution are traitors and conspirators of the country.
