Youth Protests Intensify Across Europe as France Arrests 400

Albania Student Protests Enter Fifth Day as Calls for Resignation Grow

PARIS: (News Desk) – Protests by young people have intensified across several European countries, with demonstrations in France turning violent and student-led anti-government protests continuing in Albania.

In France, young demonstrators have taken to the streets over rising living costs and concerns about declining educational standards. Clashes between protesters and police have been reported in several cities, including Paris, Marseille and Toulouse.

In Lyon, a tourist office was reportedly set on fire, while fires damaged buildings and other properties in additional cities. Shops were also looted during the unrest, and police arrested approximately 400 people.

Meanwhile, in Tirana, the capital of Albania, student-led protests against the government have entered their fifth consecutive day.

Demonstrators are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing his government of corruption and pointing to a lack of employment opportunities as a major concern for young people.

Police have deployed tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesters as tensions continue to mount in the Albanian capital.

The demonstrations highlight growing public discontent over economic pressures, employment prospects and governance, although the protests in France and Albania involve distinct national issues.
