Shah Abdul Latif University Flags 1,184 Suspicious LLB Records
1,184 LLB Candidates’ Academic Records Declared Suspicious in Khairpur
According to a statement issued by the university, an inquiry committee was constituted on April 11, 2026, to examine the academic records of the candidates. Following scrutiny, the committee found the degree records of 64 candidates to be valid and lawful.
The university identified suspicious records involving 658 candidates enrolled in the three-year LLB programme for the 2016, 2017 and 2018 batches, along with 526 candidates from the 2017 batch of the five-year LLB programme.
The inquiry committee reviewed examination records, attendance details and financial documents as part of its investigation. Based on its findings, the university declared the results, transcripts and degrees issued against the disputed records suspicious.
The university administration has forwarded lists of the affected individuals to the relevant Bar Councils, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and affiliated law colleges for further action.
The institution has also published the lists of candidates with disputed academic records on its official website.
The development raises questions about the verification of law degrees and academic records, with the relevant authorities expected to examine the matter further.
