Iqrar’s lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, says the matter reached a judicial magistrate. He says the court clearly asked about Iqrar’s custody and asked that he be produced. According to the lawyer, the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency told the court it was not holding him.
Punjab Government’s Response
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said the Punjab Police have not arrested Iqrar ul Hassan. She said the matter is under investigation. She added that the family will be told once verified information comes in.
Family Appeals to Maryam Nawaz
Iqrar’s other wife, Quratulain, has asked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to step in. She wants the administration to find him quickly. She says the family does not know where he is, why he was taken, or what case may be built against him.
For now, the family is waiting for answers. This is a developing story, and we will update it when more details come out.
