Barrister Gohar Denies PTI Differences, Says Sit-In Will Continue
PTI United, Sit-In Will Continue: Barrister Gohar
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has rejected reports of differences within the party, saying all party members are coming together for the planned sit-in.
Speaking at a press conference, Barrister Gohar expressed concern over reports that PTI lawmakers were going missing despite the party having a government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He alleged that PTI MNAs and MPAs had been made to go missing and urged those involved to reconsider their actions.
Barrister Gohar thanked the Jamaat-e-Islami and Awami National Party for speaking out against what he described as illegal actions. He added that he would soon meet ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan.
He said PTI remained a political party and its doors were always open for negotiations.
According to Barrister Gohar, the government still had an opportunity to arrange a meeting between PTI founder Imran Khan and party representatives the following day, which could help move the dialogue process forward.

He attributed the deadlock in negotiations to the government’s approach, saying it had not demonstrated sufficient flexibility.
Barrister Gohar clarified that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had no role in the stalled negotiations. He said PTI would proceed with talks if a meeting with Imran Khan was arranged.
Speaking about security in the province, he said PTI was making efforts to eliminate terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while alleging that the federal government was not contributing to these efforts.
He also claimed that despite the government’s announcement of Rs10 billion, not even Rs10 had been released so far.
Barrister Gohar said PTI had convened an All Parties Conference, where 22 political parties issued a joint declaration. He said the declaration called for keeping the issue of terrorism separate from negotiations over PTI’s political matters.
He reiterated that PTI’s sit-in would continue, saying the protest had begun in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the party would move towards Islamabad.
