Mobile Internet Disrupted in Islamabad, Lahore, Affecting Major Telecom Networks
ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – Internet services were disrupted in Islamabad and Lahore on Sunday, affecting mobile data networks operated by several major telecom companies.
Users reported connectivity problems on Jazz, Ufone, Zong, Telenor and PTCL networks, leaving many customers unable to access mobile internet services.
The disruption also caused difficulties for users of mobile banking and digital payment platforms, including Easypaisa and JazzCash. Customers reported problems accessing and using the services as connectivity issues persisted.
Several social media platforms and other websites and applications were also affected, with users reporting difficulties accessing online services.
The cause of the widespread disruption was not immediately clear. Telecom operators and relevant authorities had yet to issue an official explanation regarding the service interruptions.
