CDF Asim Munir Reviews KP Security Situation During Peshawar Visit

PESHAWAR: (Special Reporter) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Tuesday and reviewed the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and ongoing counter-terrorism efforts.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir was briefed on the prevailing security environment in the province, counter-terrorism operations, border management measures and the operational readiness of formations deployed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The army chief and CDF appreciated the high morale, preparedness and professionalism of officers and troops, acknowledging their continued efforts to protect the country and its people.

He directed the formations to maintain vigilance and ensure the highest level of operational preparedness. Field Marshal Asim Munir said the armed forces, backed by the nation, remained determined to defeat terrorism and establish lasting peace and stability across the country.

During the visit, he also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha in honour of personnel who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country and during the fight against terrorism.

The COAS and CDF paid tribute to the fallen personnel and reaffirmed that their sacrifices would always be remembered.

Upon arrival at Corps Headquarters, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by the Commander Peshawar Corps.
