ITA Accepts Medical Documents, Clears Inam Butt for Asian Games
LAHORE: (Sports Desk) – National wrestler Muhammad Inam Butt has received significant relief after the International Testing Agency (ITA) confirmed his eligibility to participate in the Asian Games.
According to sources, details of an agreement between Inam Butt and the ITA have emerged, with the agency confirming that the Pakistani wrestler is eligible to take part in the upcoming Asian Games.
Inam Butt had been handed a two-month suspension from July 19 to September 18, 2026. The suspension period has now expired.

Sources said no financial penalty was imposed on the wrestler. The substance detected in his sample was determined to have been used for medical treatment, while the ITA accepted the medical documentation submitted in support of the case.
The agency has also permitted Inam Butt to continue using the medication in question for another year.
However, the result of his participation in the Asian Beach Games has been annulled, and the silver medal he won at the event has been revoked.
Inam Butt will attend the Asian Games in a coaching capacity. He currently serves as secretary of the Wrestling Federation and remains eligible to participate in activities related to his official role.
