Babrik Shah Denies Esra Ayesha Is His Sister-In-Law
Babrik Shah Breaks Silence on Viral Esra Ayesha Family Rumour
KARACHI: (Entertainment Desk) – Tamasha Season 5 contestant Babrik Shah has addressed speculation surrounding Esra Ayesha, firmly denying reports that she is his sister-in-law.
The clarification came after former contestant Ramsha Salahuddin reportedly made the claim during a live conversation with Jay Kadn. Her statement quickly sparked discussion among viewers, particularly because of the noticeable resemblance between Esra and Babrik’s wife, Saima.
Babrik responded through his official Instagram Story, sharing a post about the circulating rumour and describing it as “fake news.” He clarified that although Esra may bear a resemblance to his wife, she is not his sister-in-law.
The similarity between Esra and Saima had already attracted attention on social media. Viewers compared the two women, with some pointing to Esra’s similar bandana style during an episode of Tamasha Season 5 and speculating about a possible family connection.

The speculation intensified after Ramsha reportedly referred to Esra as Babrik’s “sali” during her live conversation with Jay Kadn. The Urdu term generally refers to a wife’s sister, prompting viewers to interpret the remark as confirmation of a family relationship.
Babrik’s latest statement, however, directly rejects that claim. By sharing the post and calling the information “fake news,” he sought to put the speculation to rest.
The discussion has largely focused on the physical resemblance between Esra and Saima, although appearance alone does not establish a family relationship. Earlier reports also said Saima had denied being related to Esra.
Both Babrik Shah and Esra Ayesha have remained among the contestants attracting considerable attention from viewers during Tamasha Season 5, with their interactions and personal lives continuing to generate discussion online.
