NCCA Summons Imam-ul-Haq, Rizwan Over Dressing Room Leaks
The agency has also summoned another national cricketer as part of the inquiry.
LAHORE: (Sports Reporter) – The National Cybercrime Investigation Agency (NCCA) has summoned Pakistan cricketers Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan for questioning in connection with alleged dressing room leaks during the England series.
According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had retained the mobile phones of the cricketers and subsequently handed them over to the relevant authorities for examination.
Sources said the NCCA has issued notices to Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan, directing them to appear at its Lahore office on Friday. The notices were issued on Monday.
The agency has also summoned another national cricketer as part of the inquiry. Sources said investigators will examine information retrieved from the players’ mobile phones and question them regarding the alleged leaks.
According to sources, the cricketers will be asked to unlock their mobile phones during the investigation. The PCB, however, has not disclosed the reason for retaining the players’ phones or provided details about the ongoing inquiry.
