Arsenal, Manchester City Maintain Perfect Premier League Starts

LONDON: (Sports Desk) – Arsenal and Manchester City maintained their perfect starts to the Premier League season, winning their third consecutive matches, while Everton fought back to hold Manchester United to a 2-2 draw in a dramatic third round.

Arsenal produced an impressive comeback against Chelsea, recovering from an early deficit to secure a 2-1 victory. Chelsea went ahead through Morgan Rogers, but Kai Havertz restored parity before captain Martin Odegaard scored the winner after the break. The result extended Arsenal’s unbeaten run against Chelsea to 12 matches in all competitions.

Manchester City also continued their winning run with a narrow 1-0 victory over newly promoted Coventry City. Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game as City secured another three points and remained level with Arsenal at the top of the table.

At the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton produced a late fightback to earn a 2-2 draw against Manchester United. United twice took the lead through Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, but Ainsley Maitland-Niles struck late to rescue a point for Everton.

Crystal Palace claimed their first victory of the campaign with a 3-2 comeback win over Fulham, while Liverpool defeated Ipswich Town 2-0, with Alexander Isak scoring both goals.

Newcastle United and Bournemouth shared a 2-2 draw, while Brighton and Leeds United finished 1-1. Brentford and Sunderland also drew 1-1, while Hull City held Aston Villa to a goalless draw. Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur likewise finished 0-0.

After three matches, Arsenal and Manchester City are the only teams with nine points from three games, with Arsenal ahead on goal difference. Hull City are also unbeaten and sit on seven points, while Chelsea have six points.
