Mudassar Nazar, Mohammad Yousuf Slam PCB Decisions Over Changes

ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – Former Pakistan cricket team head coach Mudassar Nazar and ex-captain Mohammad Yousuf have voiced strong criticism of recent Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decisions, questioning the frequent changes within the national setup.

The former cricketers expressed concern over what they described as inconsistent decision-making, saying the situation has increasingly become a source of embarrassment for Pakistan cricket.

One of the key questions raised was the removal of former fast-bowling coach Umar Gul, particularly when the team’s bowling unit was reportedly performing well.

The former players also questioned why there appear to be more changes during overseas tours than in home series. They argued that such frequent alterations can affect team stability and create uncertainty among players and coaching staff.

The former cricketers also expressed surprise over the team’s appearance at a High Commission event during the tour. They pointed out that the entire squad traditionally wears the official Pakistan tour attire at such formal engagements.

Mohammad Yousuf said the decision to recall players or coaching staff during an ongoing tour cannot simply be viewed through the lens of performance. In his view, the repeated changes point towards deeper issues within Pakistan cricket.

Yousuf argued that the latest developments once again raise questions about internal differences, instability and conflicts within the Pakistan cricket setup.

Mudassar Nazar and Yousuf maintained that greater consistency and clarity are needed from the PCB if the national team is to build a stable and successful system.
