Hafizabad Kite Factory Raid: Police Seize 10,000 Kites

Four Suspects Arrested as Authorities Crack Down on Illegal Kite-Making Operations

Hafizabad – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – In a major Hafizabad kite factory raid, police recovered more than 10,000 ready-made kites from a facility operating within the limits of the city police station. The action came as part of an ongoing effort to curb kite-making activities across the district.

Officials confirmed that a huge stock of kite-making equipment was also seized during the raid. This equipment was reportedly being used to produce kites on a large scale for illegal sale.

Police arrested four suspects allegedly linked to the kite-making operation. Legal proceedings have now been initiated against all those taken into custody.

The Hafizabad District Police Officer said a strict, zero-tolerance policy is being enforced against both kite-making and kite-flying activities in the region. He added that such measures are necessary to protect public safety.

The DPO further warned that strong and immediate action will be taken against anyone found endangering the lives of citizens through kite-related activities. He urged residents to report any suspicious kite-making operations to the police.

This latest raid reflects the administration’s renewed focus on preventing kite-flying incidents, which have historically caused injuries and fatalities in Punjab. Authorities say more operations are expected in the coming days as part of the crackdown.

Residents have largely welcomed the move, hoping it will help reduce risks associated with kite string injuries during the flying season.
