ISLAMABAD: (Staff Reporter) – The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) officially declared the annual matriculation examination results for 2026 on Wednesday.
Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddique attended the result announcement ceremony as the chief guest.
Speaking at the event, the FBISE chairman disclosed that a total of 292,831 students appeared in the 2026 annual matric examinations conducted by the board.
The chairman further stated that 86 cheating cases were detected during the examinations, highlighting the board’s efforts to ensure transparency and maintain examination standards.
According to the board, 1,006 examination centres were established across the country. Around 2,012 supervisory officials and 6,996 invigilators were deployed to oversee the examination process.
For the assessment of answer sheets, 4,855 examiners were assigned paper-checking responsibilities, while 10,706 teachers had applied to participate in the marking process.
