Islamabad Prepares For Iranian President’s One-Day Official Visit

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is expected to arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday for a one-day official visit, during which he will hold important discussions with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to sources, comprehensive security and reception arrangements have been completed in Islamabad’s Red Zone ahead of the high-level visit. President Pezeshkian is expected to reach Islamabad in the morning and return to Tehran later the same day after concluding his official engagements.

Sources indicate that a key objective of the visit is to express Iran’s appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in helping reduce recent tensions between Iran and the United States, as well as supporting dialogue and engagement between the two countries. The Iranian president is also expected to acknowledge Pakistan’s contributions toward regional peace and stability.

Cooperation in trade, energy, investment, and economic development is also expected to feature prominently on the agenda.
