Shafay Hussain Inaugurates Free Dialysis Centre in Kharian Hospital
KHARIAN: (Web Desk) – Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment, Auqaf and Religious Affairs Chaudhry Shafay Hussain has inaugurated a ten-bed free dialysis centre at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kharian, established under the management of the Citizen Welfare Society.
Speaking to the media after the inauguration, the minister welcomed the establishment of the facility and said it would provide much-needed relief to patients requiring regular dialysis treatment in the region.
He paid tribute to philanthropists Chaudhry Aftab Ashraf and Chaudhry Rashid Ashraf for their contributions to the project and appreciated the efforts of MPA Tashfeen Safdar and the Deputy Commissioner of Gujrat for facilitating its completion.
Chaudhry Shafay Hussain stated that high-quality German machinery has been installed at the centre to ensure effective treatment services for patients.

He also announced that he would take up the issue of staff shortages with the Health Minister, particularly the need to increase the number of nurses at THQ Hospital Kharian to improve healthcare delivery.
Highlighting broader development efforts, the minister said the (AC) Group plays an important role in Pakistan’s economy.
He further announced plans for healthcare upgrades in the region, including the establishment of a Zahoor Elahi Neuro Ward at Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat, and the installation of an MRI machine at the same hospital with an allocation of Rs250 million.
The minister said these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and providing better medical facilities to the public across Punjab.
