CTD Operation Shabqadar Targets Banned Group in Charsadda

Charsadda – (Web Desk) – Three suspected militants were killed in a CTD operation Shabqadar area of Charsadda district, carried out by the Counter-Terrorism Department Mardan Region based on credible intelligence.

Security personnel moved in after receiving information about the presence of suspected members of a banned militant group, officially referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij.

When law enforcement approached the suspects, a gun battle broke out. Three militants were killed during the exchange of fire.

CTD sources identified two of the deceased. Hayat Khan, also known as Hayatullah, was a wanted suspect in the targeted killing case of Maulana Izzatullah. The second suspect, Asim, was allegedly involved in attacks on police personnel and religious leaders in Khyber district.

After the operation, security forces recovered three Kalashnikov rifles, hand grenades and other weapons from the site.

Officials confirmed that some suspects managed to escape during the encounter. A search operation has since been launched to track down the fleeing individuals.
