Karachi: (Web Desk) – At least three people were killed and 10 others injured in 13 separate firing incidents reported across different areas of Karachi late Saturday night, according to police officials.

Authorities said women and children were among those wounded in the incidents, which occurred in multiple neighborhoods of the city.

Among the deceased, 35-year-old Shakeel was killed in a shooting near Chappal Market in Banaras, while 32-year-old Yasin lost his life after unidentified assailants opened fire near Qasba Mor in Orangi Town. Another victim, 45-year-old Shahid, was killed in a firing incident near Sameera Chowk in Safoora.

Police said 10 individuals sustained injuries after being struck by bullets in separate incidents involving unidentified attackers. The injured included Yasir, Abdullah, Irfan, Maliar Bibi, Raham Bibi, Irshad Bibi, Shushant, Aafia, Shaukat and Abdul Basit.

The wounded and deceased were shifted to various hospitals for medical treatment and legal formalities.

Taking notice of the incidents, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar sought a detailed report from the Additional Inspector General of Police Karachi and directed authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shootings.

Law enforcement agencies have launched inquiries into the incidents to determine the motives behind the attacks and identify those responsible.
