WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump remains in “excellent health” but has been advised to lose weight and increase physical activity, according to a medical report released following his latest routine health examination.
The assessment was issued by US Navy Captain Sean Barbabella after Trump underwent a comprehensive medical check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington earlier this week.
In a three-page memo, Barbabella stated that the 79-year-old president demonstrated strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical health.
“President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” the report said.
The physician added that preventative health recommendations were provided, including dietary improvements, regular exercise, continued weight loss, and the use of low-dose aspirin for cardiovascular health.

According to the report, Trump is currently taking three medications. Two are prescribed to manage cholesterol levels, while the third is a low-dose aspirin regimen aimed at reducing cardiovascular risks.
The medical examination found Trump fully capable of performing the responsibilities of president and commander-in-chief.
“President Trump is fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Barbabella wrote.
The report noted that Trump, who turns 80 next month, weighs 238 pounds (108 kilograms) and stands 6 feet 3 inches (191 centimetres) tall. His weight has increased from 224 pounds recorded during his previous annual medical examination.
Addressing recent public speculation regarding visible bruising on the president’s hands, the report explained that the marks were consistent with minor tissue irritation caused by frequent handshaking while taking aspirin therapy.
The memo also followed discussions surrounding Trump’s appearance and energy levels during recent public engagements and meetings.
Shortly after completing the examination, Trump described the results as having gone “perfectly” in a post shared on his Truth Social platform.
