Pakistan Slams CBS Over Nur Khan Airbase Iranian Aircraft Report

Truth Behind the Nur Khan Airbase Iranian Aircraft Controversy

Islamabad – (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Foreign Office has strongly rejected a CBS News report claiming Iranian aircraft were stationed at Nur Khan Airbase for military reasons. The government called the report misleading and sensationalised.

According to the Foreign Office, the Nur Khan Airbase Iranian aircraft arrived in Pakistan during the ceasefire period. Both Iranian and American planes landed to support diplomatic staff, security teams, and administrative personnel connected to the Islamabad Talks.

After the first round of talks concluded, some aircraft and support staff stayed behind temporarily. This was done to prepare for possible future rounds of engagement between the two sides.

Although formal negotiations have not restarted, high-level diplomatic contacts have continued. The visits of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Islamabad were arranged using the same existing logistical setup already in place.

The Foreign Office made it very clear that these aircraft have absolutely no connection to any military plan or emergency arrangement. Officials described all claims suggesting otherwise as completely false and detached from reality.

Pakistan described its role as that of a neutral and responsible peace facilitator. The country has provided only routine logistical support while staying fully transparent with all parties involved throughout this process.

Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting sincere dialogue, easing regional tensions, and working toward lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
