Gujranwala Police Encounter 2026: Two Dacoits Killed, Two Arrested

Gujranwala  – (Web Desk) – In a major security operation, Gujranwala police encounter 2026 saw four separate incidents unfold across the city in which two dangerous criminals were killed and two others were arrested in injured condition.

The most shocking incident took place in the Cantt police station area. A wanted robber named Abubakar, who had previously shot and injured shopkeeper Hamza on April 27, 2026, was under police custody during a recovery operation. During the process, two unknown accomplices opened fire on police to free him. In the chaos, Abubakar was shot and killed by his own gang members. The accomplices managed to escape.

In the Ludhiwala Warraich area, another dangerous criminal named Faisal was also killed by his own accomplices during a police operation. Faisal was reportedly involved in more than 35 criminal cases, including motorcycle theft and armed robbery. Police recovered a motorcycle and illegal weapons from the scene.

In the Civil Lines area, a wanted suspect named Usman alias Kaka Gujjar was arrested after he was injured in an accident while trying to flee from police. He was wanted in several serious cases including attempted murder and robbery. Illegal weapons were also recovered from him.

At the City Kamunki Police Station checkpoint, officers arrested Shahbaz alias Kaka after he opened fire on a police patrol and tried to run away. His accomplice Atif managed to escape. Illegal weapons were seized from Shahbaz as well.

City Police Officer (CPO) Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan took immediate notice of all four incidents and called for detailed reports from divisional SPs. Special police teams have now been formed under SDPO supervision to arrest all remaining fugitives.
