India Linked to Terror in Pakistan, Says Atta Tarar

Minister defends Pakistan’s stance, calls for end to blame game

ISLAMABAD-(DTD)- Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has stated that India is promoting terrorism, while Pakistan is actively countering it across all fronts.

Speaking at a press conference marking the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, he said Pakistan firmly responded to what he called baseless allegations from India. He added that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had clearly presented Pakistan’s position on the Pahalgam incident and had offered an independent and impartial investigation.

Tarar said Pakistan’s stance received international support following the proposal for a transparent inquiry. He further reiterated the Prime Minister’s call to end blame games, emphasizing that Pakistan remains committed to fighting terrorism, while accusing India of involvement in destabilizing activities.

The minister further claimed that the roots of terrorism in Pakistan trace back to India, adding that Pakistan stands as a wall against terrorism.

He also alleged that India neither condemns terrorist incidents nor expresses regret over them.

Atta Tarar stated that India uses water as a weapon, while the people and armed forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared to respond to any aggression.

He emphasised that Pakistan maintains a clear policy against terrorism and that the country’s position has emerged prominently before the world.

He added that Pakistan’s defence has grown stronger and claimed that no country is willing to accept India’s narrative.
