Pakistani technologist-backed AI firm launches Saudi retail tracking system network
Pakistani technologist Umar Saif’s AI firm expands in Saudi Arabia with a major retail tracking system.
Pakistan- (Web Desk) – A retail analytics company led by Pakistani technologist and former IT minister Umar Saif has launched a large-scale retail tracking system in Saudi Arabia, covering more than 630,000 outlets across the country.
The Boston-based AI and data analytics firm aiSight.ai said the new system is part of its expansion in the Gulf region, where consumer markets are changing rapidly and becoming more competitive.
According to the company, the system has been developed in response to growing demand for faster and more accurate market insights. Traditional research methods, it said, are no longer able to fully capture the speed at which retail trends and consumer behavior are evolving in Saudi Arabia.
aiSight.ai explained that its monthly retail audit is designed to provide insights that are often missing from conventional data providers. The platform tracks real-time activity across hundreds of thousands of points of sale.
With coverage of over 630,000 retail locations in Saudi Arabia, the system aims to help businesses better understand customer demand, improve distribution planning, and fine-tune their sales strategies to reach the right consumers more effectively.
It said the retail audit platform leverages AI across satellite imagery, consumer mobility, footfall analytics and POS-level data to generate a unified, high-resolution view of market dynamics.
Dr. Saif said the firm’s vision is to build the world’s most intelligent FMCG decisioning platform.
“In fast-transforming markets like Saudi Arabia, brands need more than static reports — they need continuous intelligence and daily decision support,” he said. “That is exactly what aiSight.ai delivers.”

The firm said that the retail audit business in Saudi Arabia represents a revenue opportunity of approximately $15 million, reflecting the scale and urgency of demand for more accurate, timely market intelligence.
“aiSight.ai also announced plans to invest several million dollars in Saudi Arabia over the next few years, with the ambition of becoming the dominant player in the Kingdom’s retail intelligence market,” it added.
