Final World Cup 2026 Ticket Phase Starts April

FIFA Opens Final 2026 World Cup Ticket Sales Phase April

WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – FIFA has confirmed that the final phase of ticket sales for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin on April 1. This last sales window will stay open until the tournament concludes on July 19, although officials have not revealed how many tickets will be released.

Tickets in this phase will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with availability updated continuously. In some cases, fans may even be able to purchase tickets for matches taking place on the same day.

This marks the fourth and final official ticket sales phase. Earlier rounds saw overwhelming demand, with more than one million tickets sold from over 500 million applications. Overall, around seven million tickets are expected to be distributed for matches hosted across 16 stadiums in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Iran negotiates with FIFA to relocate its World Cup matches to Mexico.

However, ticket pricing has sparked major controversy. The fan advocacy group Football Supporters Europe has filed a complaint with the European Commission, accusing FIFA of setting excessively high prices and using unfair ticketing practices.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino defended the pricing, stating that it reflects extremely high demand. In response to criticism, FIFA introduced a limited batch of lower-cost tickets priced at $60 for official supporters’ clubs, though critics claim these were nearly unavailable to the general public.

Additionally, FIFA announced that its official resale and ticket exchange platform will reopen on April 2. Despite this, the resale system has also drawn criticism, as resellers are free to set their own prices, often leading to significantly inflated costs.
