Iran refuses US negotiations, insists on ending war its way
Iran Rejects US Talks Demands End to War on Its Own Terms
Iranian Foreign Minister – (Web Desk) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Iran is not negotiating with the United States. He clarified that exchanging messages through “friendly countries” does not count as direct talks. “We do not intend to negotiate. We want the war to end on our own terms,” he said on state TV.
The White House warned that US President Donald Trump is prepared to take strong action if Iran refuses a deal. However, Tehran remained defiant. Violence continues across the Middle East, affecting Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
Trump claims Iran wants a deal but fears internal backlash and US strikes. Pakistan reportedly shared a 15-point US plan to stop the conflict, which Iran rejected. Tehran insists the war will only end if its five conditions are met, including guarantees against future attacks, compensation for damages, and recognition of its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Peace talks with Iran and the role of Pakistan
Iran’s military said its missiles hit the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier group, forcing it to move. US forces have reportedly damaged most of Iran’s missile, drone, and naval production facilities.
Meanwhile, Israel continues airstrikes in Lebanon targeting Hezbollah, while over 1,000 people have been killed, and one million displaced due to fighting. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is limited, with some vessels paying up to $2 million for safe passage along Iran-approved routes.
Despite tensions, the White House said peace talks are still ongoing and remain “productive,” although Iran maintains it will not compromise on its conditions.
