PM Shehbaz Nominates Nehal Hashmi Sindh Governor

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Shehbaz Sharif has decided to replace Kamran Tessori with senior Nehal Hashmi as the next Governor of Sindh.
A statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Islamabad on Thursday confirmed that the prime minister has forwarded a summary regarding Hashmi’s appointment to Asif Ali Zardari for approval.
The PMO noted that PM Shehbaz met Hashmi at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday, finalizing the decision to nominate him as Sindh Governor.

Rumors regarding the possible removal of Tessori, a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), had been circulating on social media for several days. In December, MQM-P leadership had dismissed similar speculation about Tessori’s tenure.
Nehal Hashmi previously served as a senator representing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from March 2015 to March 2021, according to the official Senate website.
