Salman Butt Named In National T20 Cup Commentary Panel
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the commentary panel for the National T20 Cup 2026, which will take place from March 7 to March 18. The domestic competition will feature ten regional teams battling for the prestigious T20 title.
According to reports, the commentary team will include former Pakistan captain Salman Butt, who earlier performed commentary duties in Urdu during the landmark tenth season of the Pakistan Super League last year.
Butt will be accompanied by former national women’s cricketer Aiman Anwar, adding further experience to the broadcast team.
The commentary panel also includes seasoned voices such as Ali Younis, Shah Faisal, Raja Asad, and Imranullah, who will provide match analysis and coverage throughout the twelve-day tournament.

The event will get underway on Saturday at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium, which is also known as Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
Ten regional sides will participate in the competition, with defending champions Lahore Blues looking to defend their title.
Lahore Blues have been placed in Group B alongside Abbottabad, Karachi Blues, Multan, and Sialkot.
Meanwhile, Group A features Lahore Whites, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites, and Bahawalpur.
The tournament will kick off with two Group A matches on the opening day.
