The statement comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Larijani had allegedly attempted to contact the US through mediators in Oman

TEHRAN (Web Desk): Iranian National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani has firmly dismissed all reports suggesting that Iran is seeking to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States.

In a statement posted on his official social media accounts, Larijani called such claims “completely baseless” and emphasized that Iran will not engage in any negotiations with the US under current circumstances.

The statement comes after the Wall Street Journal reported that Larijani had allegedly attempted to contact the US through mediators in Oman, following the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei. The report claimed Iran was seeking Oman’s assistance to restart talks on its stalled nuclear program.

Iranian officials, however, clarified that these reports are part of a Western media narrative aimed at creating confusion regarding Iran’s position. Larijani stressed that Iran’s policy remains unchanged and steadfast, rejecting any talks influenced by current US policies.
