Fasset HRL Partner to Digitize Pakistan Investments

Fasset and HRL Launch Digital Investment Platform in Pakistan

Islamabad (Web Desk)— US-founded digital banking and investment platform Fasset has formally announced its entry into Pakistan through a strategic alliance with Habib Rafiq (Pvt.) Limited (HRL). The announcement, made at a prominent gathering in Islamabad, marks a significant development in connecting international capital with Pakistan’s growing asset landscape.

The event brought together senior government representatives, corporate leaders, members of the diplomatic community, digital economy experts, and prominent public figures. Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja attended as Chief Guest. She was joined by Jahanzaib Zahid, Vice Chairman of HRL Group, and Mohammad Raafi Hossain, CEO and Co-Founder of Fasset, alongside key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors.

Unlocking Untapped Economic Potential

The partnership aims to open new channels between global investors and Pakistan’s largely undercapitalized domestic asset base. A central focus of the collaboration is asset tokenization, which will enable digital access to Pakistan’s estimated $1.5 trillion real estate and domestic asset market through blockchain-powered infrastructure.

Another priority is empowering Pakistan’s thriving freelance community — the fourth largest in the world — by introducing faster, low-cost, and real-time payout systems. The initiative seeks to ensure that freelancers and remote workers can seamlessly receive, manage, and reinvest their income.

Additionally, the collaboration intends to simplify foreign direct investment (FDI) flows into Pakistan by building transparent and compliant digital frameworks designed to increase investor confidence and accessibility.

Addressing the audience, Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized that Pakistan’s digital economy is at a pivotal stage, driven by a young and highly skilled workforce competing on a global scale. She highlighted the importance of building robust financial systems that allow digital earners to securely manage and grow their income, noting that innovation-driven partnerships are essential for expanding financial inclusion and strengthening Pakistan’s global economic footprint under the Digital Nation Pakistan vision.

Mohammad Raafi Hossain, CEO and Co-Founder of Fasset, stated that the company’s mission is to enable 100 million people worldwide to take ownership of their wealth. He described Pakistan as one of the most promising high-growth markets and said the partnership with HRL would help connect international investors to local opportunities while unlocking value for the country’s digital workforce and asset holders.

Jahanzaib Zahid, Vice Chairman of HRL Group, noted that the collaboration represents a new chapter for overseas Pakistanis and global investors. By combining HRL’s decades of infrastructure expertise with Fasset’s digital asset capabilities, he said, the partnership aims to build a more transparent and accessible investment ecosystem for Pakistan.
