Bangladesh had refused to participate in the World Cup in India

Lahore: (Web Desk) – Lahore Qalandars, one of the franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), has signed Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman directly for PSL Season 11.

Mustafizur Rahman, who was released by IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, will now represent Lahore Qalandars in the upcoming PSL edition. The Bangladeshi pacer has been signed for a total of PKR 6.44 crore. Known globally for his exceptional slower balls and effectiveness in death overs, Rahman brings valuable experience to the Qalandars’ bowling lineup.

It is worth noting that after being excluded from the IPL, Bangladesh had refused to participate in the World Cup in India, leading to Rahman missing the tournament. Pakistan also expressed solidarity with Bangladesh by boycotting their World Cup match against India, a decision that has reportedly raised concerns at the ICC due to potential financial implications.

This signing is expected to strengthen Lahore Qalandars’ pace attack and add international expertise to the squad ahead of PSL 11.
