Severe Cold Forces Balochistan Education Department to Postpone Exams

Quetta: (Web Desk) – The Balochistan Education Department has announced the postponement of 8th-grade examinations due to severe cold and heavy rainfall affecting the province’s colder regions.

According to the Director of Education, the decision prioritizes student safety and convenience amid adverse weather conditions. The exams are now scheduled to begin on 6th February 2026, with a revised timetable issued to reflect the changes.

District Education Officers (DEOs) have been instructed to promptly inform students and parents about the updated schedule. The department emphasized that student safety remains the top priority and assured that the examinations will be conducted in a fair, transparent, and organized manner once conditions improve.
