PDMA Issues Severe Cold Weather Alert Nationwide
PDMA Warns of Snowfall, Fog, and Severe Cold Conditions
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a weather alert warning of severe cold conditions until 16 January. The notification has been shared with departments of tourism, education, health, agriculture, local government, and forestry, among others.
According to the PDMA, snowfall is likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, the Galiyat region, and the Potohar plateau. Residents should also expect dense fog and smog in affected areas.

Director General PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia advised educational institutions to guide students on wearing warm clothing and ensure classrooms are adequately heated. He further urged hospitals and health centers to maintain sufficient medical supplies and staff to handle weather-related emergencies.
