Pakistan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday led a committee meeting to discuss preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, which Pakistan will host in 2026. The meeting focused on planning and coordination to ensure the event’s successful organization.

The deputy PM instructed on finalizing arrangements, logistics, and thematic sessions, ensuring smooth organization and close coordination among relevant Ministries and the OIC Secretariat, according to a press statement issued by the Foreign Office.
He highlighted that the upcoming conference reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting women’s rights and strengthening their role across social, economic, and political spheres.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Law & Justice; SAPM Tariq Bajwa; Secretaries of Foreign Affairs, Cabinet, Human Rights, and other relevant divisions, and senior officials from concerned Ministries.
