Teachers’ Problems Will Be Solved Through Dialogue, Not Protests: Rathore

Muzaffarabad-(Special Corresponded/News Desk) Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, attended a special ceremony organized in honor of the Christian community on Christmas, emphasizing interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, and brotherhood.

Addressing the gathering, PM Rathore praised the constructive role of the Christian community in society, highlighting that religious minorities form an indispensable part of the state and contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of Azad Kashmir. He assured that followers of all religions in the region enjoy complete religious freedom and equal rights, reiterating the government’s commitment to promoting interfaith understanding and cooperation.

In a separate event, the Prime Minister addressed a convention organized by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir School Teachers Organization, reaffirming that all issues faced by teachers will be resolved as a priority. He emphasized that the government will engage directly with educators to address their concerns, ensuring they do not need to resort to protests to press for their legitimate demands.

Highlighting the critical role of education and health in social development, PM Rathore called teachers the “architects of the nation” and stressed the importance of preparing the younger generation to meet modern challenges. He also noted that addressing teachers’ financial hardships and strengthening the education system remain key priorities for his administration.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction at interacting directly with teachers and reiterated that dialogue remains the most effective way to resolve complex issues. The events were attended by Senior Minister Mian Abdul Waheed, Minister Chaudhry Rashid, President of the Teachers Organization Sardar Tasif Shaheen, and other dignitaries.
