Sindh Sets Benchmark in Healthcare, Says Bilawal Bhutto
“Bread, clothes and housing are the focus of PPP politics,” he said, reiterating the party’s commitment to social welfare and inclusive development.
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said the Sindh government had carried out remarkable work in the health sector by establishing a strong network of hospitals across the province, including in remote and underserved areas.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a new building at Indus Hospital, Bilawal said the facility was providing exemplary healthcare services in Sindh. He described the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) as the world’s largest welfare facility and praised its contribution to public welfare.
The PPP chairman said the Sindh government had developed world-class healthcare facilities, particularly pointing to the hospital in Gambat, Khairpur district, which he termed among the best globally. He added that similar facilities had not been established in Punjab so far, though the Punjab government had now announced plans to develop such hospitals.

Bilawal said the Sindh government was committed to providing free medical treatment to the public, adding that the province’s health system had undergone a complete transformation.
Extending greetings to the Christian community on the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto wished them a happy Christmas and said caring for the poor and vulnerable remained central to the PPP’s manifesto.
“Bread, clothes and housing are the focus of PPP politics,” he said, reiterating the party’s commitment to social welfare and inclusive development.
He added that the Sindh government would continue its efforts to expand access to quality healthcare services across the province, ensuring that even the most remote communities receive modern medical facilities.
