US military equipment worth more than $7 billion remains in Afghanistan
Washington: A report published by a US magazine has revealed that the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij, is using American weapons left behind in Afghanistan to carry out terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.
According to the report by The Geopolitics, the TTP has been continuously targeting Pakistani security forces and civilians, carrying out terrorist activities and violent attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The report states that US military equipment worth more than $7 billion remains in Afghanistan, including M4 and M16 rifles, night vision devices, and other advanced weapons, which have fallen into the hands of terrorist groups.
The Geopolitics further reports that these American weapons are being sold on Afghanistan’s black market and are reaching various terrorist networks operating in the region.
