Seven Worshippers Killed in Mosque Bombing in Nigeria

Maiduguri: At least seven worshippers were killed in a bomb explosion at a mosque in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, security sources said.
According to media reports, the blast occurred during prayers, causing significant damage to the mosque. The explosion triggered panic and fear in the surrounding area.

Security forces quickly cordoned off the site and launched an investigation. No armed group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
Maiduguri is the capital of Borno State, a region that has for years been at the center of an insurgency led by the militant group Boko Haram and its splinter faction, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
