Actor Tipu Sharif Opens Up About Online Love and Betrayal
He discovered that the girl had lied to him multiple times.
ISLAMABAD: Renowned Pakistani actor Tipu Sharif recently revealed a painful personal experience involving online love and betrayal. He shared the story while appearing as a guest on a private TV channel program.
Responding to a question about whether he had ever been deceived by someone he trusted, Tipu disclosed that he once fell in love with a girl online. Their relationship lasted for two and a half years, even though they never met in person. Later, he discovered that the girl had lied to him multiple times.
Tipu said it took him a long time to realize that he had wasted several valuable years of his life—between the ages of 25 and 27—on this relationship, a period considered crucial in one’s life. He described the experience as deeply transformative and bitter.

He further revealed that after this incident, he tried to build new relationships but now struggles with trust issues. Tipu said he avoids starting new relationships and even if he considers it, he intentionally distances himself.
The actor also admitted that he is very emotional and sensitive, which makes him fearful that a new relationship could bring further difficulties into his life.
