NEW YORK: American pop star Taylor Swift has shared an emotional and deeply personal account of a difficult period in her life, revealing how she felt lonely and broken after two major breakups during her record-breaking Eras Tour.

In episode four of her docuseries The End of an Era, Swift spoke about the emotional struggles she faced while touring from March 2023 to December 2024. Although the tour was a massive success, she admitted that her personal life was falling apart behind the scenes.

Swift said there were moments when the tour was the only thing giving her purpose. She explained that the demanding schedule was never the problem, but rather the pain of going through two breakups during the first half of the tour. Fans believe she was referring to her split from long-term partner Joe Alwyn and her brief relationship with singer Matty Healy.

Using humor to cope with heartbreak, Swift joked that while men may disappoint, the Eras Tour never did. She shared that performing helped her get out of bed and kept her going during a very dark time. Songwriting also became an emotional outlet, especially while creating her album The Tortured Poets Department, which she described as a release of years of pain and frustration.

That encouragement eventually led to Swift connecting with Kelce.
