Saudi Sets New Visiting Timings for Prophet’s Tomb

Fridays: Three slots – 2:00am until Fajr, 9:20am to 11:20am, and after Jummah prayer until Isha.

RIYADH: Saudi authorities have announced updated timings and procedures for visiting the Roza of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Al-Masjid-e-Nabawi and offering nawafil (voluntary prayers) in Riazul Jannah. Separate schedules have been set for men and women, with access regulated through the Nusuk platform.

The Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques stated that permits must be obtained via Nusuk, which generally allows bookings once every 365 days. An “Instant Track” option is available for worshippers near the Prophet’s Mosque. Entry to the Noble Roza-e-Rasool is designated through the southern courtyards, in front of Makkah Gate 37, with elderly visitors permitted to enter using a manual wheelchair.

Timings for Men:

  • Regular days: 2:00am until Fajr prayer and 11:20am until Isha prayer.

  • Fridays: Three slots – 2:00am until Fajr, 9:20am to 11:20am, and after Jummah prayer until Isha.

Timings for Women:

  • Regular days: After Fajr until 11:00am, and after Isha until 2:00am.

  • Fridays: After Fajr until 9:00am, and the regular night slot from after Isha until 2:00am.

The new system aims to streamline access, ensure smooth crowd management, and facilitate worshippers while maintaining the sanctity of the Prophet’s Mosque.
