Kohli Becomes World’s Leading Century-Maker

ISLAMABAD: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has made history by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s world record for the most centuries in a single format.

According to details, Kohli struck a brilliant century in the first ODI against South Africa, marking his 52nd ODI hundred and breaking Tendulkar’s long-standing record of 51 centuries in the format.

With this milestone, Kohli is now the player with the most centuries in a single international format, a record previously held by Tendulkar.

This latest hundred also marks Kohli’s 83rd international century across Tests, ODIs and T20Is. It was his sixth ODI century against South Africa, placing him at the top of the list; Tendulkar follows with five, while Gary Kirsten is third with four.

The century in Ranchi was Kohli’s third on the same ground, making him the batsman with the most centuries at a single venue in India. With this achievement, Kohli further solidifies his status as one of the world’s most prolific century-makers.
