He added that the Prime Minister, after consultations with the field marshal, has given in-principle approval to join the force.

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is ready to send troops under the proposed Gaza Peace Force, but only after its terms of reference, mandate, and role are clearly defined.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Dar stated that disarming Hamas falls under the jurisdiction of Palestinian law enforcement authorities, and Pakistan is not prepared to take part in such an action. He added that Indonesia has also expressed reservations regarding the disarmament of Hamas.

Dar further said that Pakistan has clarified that any deployment of its troops in an International Stabilization Force must be recognized by the United Nations Security Council. He added that the Prime Minister, after consultations with the field marshal, has given in-principle approval to join the force.
