Fines Imposed on Wholesalers and Vendors for Overcharging
The Assistant Commissioner imposed fines on the violators, which were collected on the spot.
MIRPUR MATHELO: (Tanveer Ahmed Soomro) Assistant Commissioner Mirpur Mathelo conducted an inspection of various markets in the city, including Kalma Chowk, Shahi Bazar, and Bhittai Chowk, to review the prices of essential commodities. During the visit, several shopkeepers, grocery merchants, vegetable, and fruit vendors were found violating the officially fixed price lists.
The Assistant Commissioner imposed fines on the violators, which were collected on the spot. He strictly warned all traders and vendors to adhere to the government-notified rates and avoid overcharging consumers.

He further emphasized that strict action would be taken against anyone found selling goods at inflated prices in the future, adding that no leniency would be shown to violators.
