ISLAMABAD:: The opposition alliance, Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aaeen Pakistan, has announced a nationwide protest against the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
During a press conference in Islamabad, party chairman Mahmood Achakzai declared the launch of the movement, warning that they will disrupt parliamentary proceedings. He said that the protests officially start today, with slogans beginning at 8:30 pm, the first being: “We do not accept such a constitution.”
Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar criticized the amendment, stating that it was drafted to serve individual interests rather than the constitution itself. He accused the elite of manipulating the law for their personal gain.
