The envoy called it a “very comprehensive plan” but did not share specifics. Earlier this year, Trump suggested the US should take over Gaza, remove its people, and rebuild it, an idea that caused global alarm but was praised by Israel’s leader.

In a neighborhood in Gaza City, people reported heavy bombing overnight. One woman said warplanes and drones were firing all night. She explained that while some neighbors have run away, it feels like “death follows you” no matter where you go.
