KARACHI(News desk)Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has stepped forward to take full responsibility for the funeral and burial expenses of actress Humaira Asghar, whose body was recently discovered in a flat located in DHA Phase 6, Karachi.
Expressing sorrow over the incident, Governor Tessori remarked, “She was not alone — I consider her like my own sister.” He emphasized that he would personally bear all expenses related to the funeral and burial, regardless of whether her family participates.
Reaffirming his commitment, he said, “Every citizen of Sindh is part of my extended family. If her relatives choose not to be involved, I will still ensure she receives a respectful farewell.”
He announced that the funeral prayer would be held at the Governor House and that an imam had already been asked to lead the rites. Instructions have been issued to his team to handle all funeral and burial arrangements.
Highlighting the importance of dignity and respect for women, Governor Tessori said, “As a society, it is our moral duty to uphold the honor of our mothers, sisters, and daughters. It is truly alarming when no one is there to give a proper burial to a young woman.”
