Nadeem Baig reveals how Sajal reacted to working with Asif Raza Mir in upcoming drama
Sajal Aly and Ahad parted ways for an undisclosed reason.
Acclaimed Pakistani actor Nadeem Baig made an appearance in a podcast session with renowned host Maliha Rehman, where he revealed how superstars Sajal Aly and Asif Raza Mir reacted when he asked them to work together as father and daughter in the upcoming drama serial Manto.
It is worth mentioning that Sajal Aly was the ex-daughter-in-law of Asif Raza Mir, as she was married to his son, Ahad Raza Mir. Both parted ways for an undisclosed reason.
Moving on to the latest rounds of events, Nadeem Baig, during an engrossing session in the podcast, discussed his reluctance over casting both Sajal and Asif Raza Mir in the same project due to their complicated past.
The director disclosed that when he approached Asif Raza Mir and asked him if he had an issue with the role opposite Sajal Aly in my upcoming drama. Nadeem added that Asif Raza Mir took a pause for a few minutes and later responded professionally by saying: “Not at all, I am a professional actor and I have no issue if that character is for me. Please ask Sajal if he does not have any issues.”

Nadeem Baig later emphasized that when he called Sajal and asked for the same, she also demonstrated professionalism and showed respect for the senior actor.
“Nadeem Bhai, if he suits the character, please cast him. I have no issue, Sajal said when he informed her about playing as father and daughter in the project.”
The filmmaker also shared a sneak peek about their cordial bonding on set, which sometimes led him to reprimand them.
