All Schools in Punjab to Have Zebra Crossings Soon
“Is it the teachers’ job to handle tasks meant for other departments?” questioned Kashif Shehzad.
LAHORE: The District Education Authorities have issued instructions to ensure zebra crossings are created in front of all schools. School heads will now be responsible for overseeing the installation of these crossings.
Punjab Teachers Union (PTU) President Kashif Shehzad stated that action will be taken against school heads who fail to implement the directive. However, the union also raised concerns over this responsibility being placed on teachers and school administrations.
“Is it the teachers’ job to handle tasks meant for other departments?” questioned Kashif Shehzad. “If TEPA and other relevant authorities cannot perform their duties, they should be shut down.” He urged the Punjab Education Minister to take notice of the matter.
