U.S., Saudi Arabia Discuss Strengthening Strategic Ties
Riyadh — The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a series of landmark defense and strategic agreements worth $142 billion during President Donald Trump’s official visit to the Kingdom.
President Trump, currently on a high-profile visit to Saudi Arabia, held bilateral talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The two leaders oversaw the signing of multiple agreements covering defense, energy, mineral resources, space exploration, and public health cooperation.
According to media reports, the defense agreements aim to significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces through modernization and technology transfer. One of the key components includes collaboration between NASA and the Saudi Space Agency.
In addition, both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on mineral resources, along with agreements involving the U.S. Department of Justice and cooperation on infectious disease control.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the discussions also focused on strengthening bilateral ties, expanding strategic partnerships in various sectors, and addressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Earlier today (Tuesday), President Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia where he was warmly received at King Khalid International Airport by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The two leaders later attended a formal luncheon at the Royal Palace.
This visit marks a significant step in deepening U.S.–Saudi relations, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to mutual cooperation and regional stability.
